I cried like the little bitch I am when I saw this in the game! I wanted nothing morethan for Lillie to have Nebby travel with her, but she wanted me to have it, I couldn't handle that!

I can only hope I captured a teeny tiny part of this beautiful and emotional moment!

Sorry, there was a lot of emotion for me this christmas—most christmases consisted of getting presents I didn't fully like because they were things like Barbie dolls and getting chewed oit by the person who gave them to me for being an ingrate for not liking the girly toys when I would rather have a Jurrasic Park action figure or something, but no, those were boy toys... Eventually, people gave up and gave my grandmother money to get me what I wanted, but instead of toys, we spent it on food and the extra expenses in the heating bills, but beibg warm and having a full stomach more often than usual were pretty good presents to me.
When I want into foster care, my presents weee usually restocks of my necessities like shampoo or soap that I still had to shaee witg my foster sisters. It was also my job to keep any holiday parties my foster parents threw in order by cleaning and whatnot and wouldn't get to eat until after everyone else did, which often left smaller porrions or scraps. If I got anything slightly better, there was a constant reminder of how I wasn't worthy of what I was getting.
This year, I was fed equally with everyone—fed at the same time with fresh and equal proportions with everyone and it wasn't my job to be the only one to clean up after everyone!
We opened our presents... My roommate made a book out of the boxes that she wrapped them in—two somewhat flat and square gifts and a blocky rectangle for the final one, covered in custom, hand-decorated printer paper with a beautiful message made with her best prismacolor pencils. Each message was wsritten on its own present.
“If I could, I'd give you the sun...”
“I'd give you the moon...”
“and...”
“I'd give you the stars.”
I had my guesses, given how much she had talked about how I needed to get my hopes up for Pokemon on christmas, but I couldn't figure out the last one.
I opened up my presents as carefully as I could, wanting to cherish the beautiful custom wrapping paper.
“If I could, I'd give you the sun” held Pokemon Sun, “I'd give you the moon...” held Pokemon Moon, and “I'd give you the starts.” held a super-rare Galaxy Nintendo 3DS, the last one in Colorado, she said.
Even writing this, I want to cry.
Although her taking me in to help me will be one of the greatest gifts she will ever be able to grace me with, this was incredible!\
She gave me somewhere safe and warm to work on figuring out my life, helps to feed me, has helped me work through some of my ptsd and anxiety, and feminded me of what it feels like to be a human again, something I had forgotten and given up feeling ever again. She is my family now, something I also thought I lost and would never feel ever again. I have a cool and fun present and I even got to get my dream team of having every eeveelution! I am so happy! I'm fighting the urge to cry as I write this!
