Amber is the captain of Garnet high's cheerleader team, The Lady Jags, a force she controls with an iron fist. While Brenda and Cydne are the best known members (apart from Amber herself) there are many others who take part in the cheerleading' wedgie machine. Their loyalty is to their captain and they will follow her orders to a letter.
That said, the cheerleaders are no horde of mindless drones. Each of their members worked hard for their position, one way or another, so they expect their captain to do the same. If, for any reason, the captain is too weak or clumsy, the rest of the team will not think twice about kicking her out. Such an event is rare, but remembered by both the team and future captains.
