The pic probably speaks for itself

As simple as it is, it's basically Dissidia-esque artwork for a Final Fantasy character that never made it to the two games. The "Numquam", according to my probably-less-than-trustworthy-English-to-Latin-Dictionary (yep, I did that ), stands for "Never" (please, do correct me if I'm wrong, and I'll go change the title ), which is meant to be something of a pun on the fact that, as unfortunate as it is, it's probably unlikely this particular character will be seen in Dissidia any time soon. Even if the series does continue.

Anyhoo, as you can (hopefully, haha) see, this would be Freya Crescent from Final Fantasy IX. I happen to think she's a seriously cool character, and find it a shame she has kind of too little screentime in the actual game (well, IMO). I mostly used her in-game design (the one by Toshiyuki Itahana), but mixed in some elements from a certain Amano artwork, too (mainly in the hat and her hair).

When Duodecim was still having its new characters announced (before it turned out there would be no new characters from IX, which broke my heart ), I was hoping they'd bring Freya or Beatrix over (or Vivi) :3
I did know Freya was rather unlikely (what with Kain being pretty much confirmed from the get-go, and two dragoons would admittedly have been a little...), but well, a nerd can dream

Oh, and I know I kind of failed to imitate Nomura's style. I'll get there someday, maybe >_<
