Description PlugIn limbs for Genesis 8 is a set of 8 geografts. It contains 4 limb caps and 4 limbs. It does NOT contain any robotic skins or internal skeletal parts, but it's useful for attaching robotic appendages to the characters. UVs on flesh parts of the grafts are preserved, textures from other characters like robots and cyborgs can be applied to the detachable limbs turning them into cybernetic implants.

G8F and G8M version use same textures for limb caps and displays. If it asks you to override any files during the installation then let it.

Usage:

1 - Load the limb cap graft on the Genesis 8 character. They're all labeled as "Base".
2 - Load the matching limb graft.
3 - Load the materials for the limbs and the caps.

To get the graft materials to match the figure body copy the arms/legs/nails surfaces from the character to the geografts. Surfaces on the grafts have very obvious names to make it easier.

UVs on the flesh parts of the grafts are compatible with any G8F materials. It's useful for making prosthetics using any plastic "cyborg-like" genesis 8 and 3 skins. See the example uses on the attached screenshots.

In case there was a weird discoloration between the body and the graft check if the surfaces on the graft and the character body have same settings for the thin walled property. Also, sometimes limits on normal maps and bump maps need to be manually switched off in the properties editor because custom characters from the published artists might have them turned off, but DAZ is often copypasting surfaces with the limits on.

To get a separated limb prop matching the character simply unparent it from the figure and pose it as you see fit.

When posing an arm or a leg "stump" with no attached limb it is good to zero any poses on the now invisible shin/forearm to avoid the limb cap distortion.

Know issue are skin materials with very explicit SSS or translucency, as it is common with geografts. As a rule if a character is prone to showing seams on the regular body parts, it's not going to work very well with any geografts.

Extremely thin limb shapes also don't work very well with this set.
