I love this little guy, he looks so soft! The eyes look really great, I think that if you use the darkest black tone that you created in eyes on parts of the nose it would really give him more dimension!

Thanks for your kind words Sarah! And sorry it has taken me so long to reply! To be honest, that drawing was done back in early 2006 not long after I began drawing. I think that I could do much better now! At least I hope I could since it would mean I have not progressed in 3 years if I could not! But anyway...I read your most recent critique of Dezkenob1's "A Woman's Look" I thought that it was a great critique and that you choose an awesome picture!! I had to

Ha ha, I'm not saying I don't have details, it's just a method difference. He is very precise, working on tiny pieces of his drawing until they are perfect and then moving on to the next piece. I'm more scatterbrained about it and I don't have the same precision in my work.

I think this is wonderful as it is. The fur, the expression, the handicraft... I love it! And otters ARE awesome!!!

Otters are awesome and so is your sketch.
Great attention to detail: the fur looks very soft over the ears, and the tiny splotches of color make a huge difference. The eyes look like, Hey, there's an otter and it's looking at me!
The nose is the worst-drawn thing there, but there's nothing particularly wrong with it. It's just flat relative to the rest of the drawing.
