textureeeees ToT! Where they are? Im tired of searching them everytime im loading models 3D X/!
Guys - SERIOUSLY!
When you make 3d model - just put them ! Its not that hard, and to put them on mdoel is easy for me - but hard is to fine good textures! Im waisting time on searching testures while i could do in same time some cool pic with your model :/.
Pretty please X(!

The file is in obj format - it is compatible with just about any 3D application. What program are you using?

"Extrud" XD
Very cute. Are the eyes and nose mapped a different texture, or is it all the same?

pixelworlds In reply to SlightlyChaotic [2010-01-15 20:17:06 +0000 UTC]
They are the same texture actually - just the light isn't hitting them the same.

Hm? I was just wondering if you made a plastic nose or button eyeballs or some generic teddy bear cuteness like that. It looks pretty good either way.

pixelworlds In reply to SlightlyChaotic [2010-01-15 21:04:22 +0000 UTC]
Actually - I just made a REALLY simple shader for the eyes and nose! Basically I just turned the diffuse color to black and upped the specular and glossiness - nothing else! It is funny - but some of that scene I spent a lot of time getting right - but other parts I used VERY simple techniques on!

Okay, cool. I think that's about the best way to get a more-or-less real plastic material, actually.
I mean, you could spend hours getting the textures, some normal or bump maps... just the right amount of reflectivity (which is very very low)... OR you could bump up the specularity. XD

Hey SC - I had a question. I'm working on my next blog right now - the previous one was taken down though - so where do I submit this one to? I don't want to accidentally replace someone else's blog that should be up still?

UV mapping is relatively easy?! I take it you just haven't taken the time to learn?

When you work retail everything depends on the customers... as long as there is nothing to do and there are no customers... I can be on the net. I have a very nice boss. I can even paint here. Good thing... more paintings in a shorter span of time, bad thing... no save job...
