Personality: Dr. Libstein is a very determined man, especially when it comes to his work. He strongly believes that he knows best and that his research is law. He doesn’t work well with others and likes to be left alone. This caused both his divorce and being fired from the GIW. He is interested in ghost research and wants to learn more about them so he can destroy them.
Bio: Dr. Libstein had it all; if you count having a demanding wife that sees you as a failure and having a job at a government paranormal facility that the rest of the world sees as a waste of time that is full of fellow employees that hate you as having it all. Libstein worked as a scientist for the GIW where he praised his own work constantly. Libstien wanted to take drastic measures when it came to hunting and experimenting on ghosts that the GIW refused to take. After one too many arguments with the CEOs, Libstein was fired. After being kicked out of the GIW, he no longer had the tools he desperately needed to continue his ghost research. This devastated him and he went into a long depression. His wife became fed up with his ghost talk and left him. With his only son grown and out of the house and his wife divorcing him, Libstein was left alone to wallow in his self pity.
Some years later, Libstein discovered the existence of the ghost boy named Danny Phantom. This sparked the inspiration to continue his research and vowed to catch this ghost and experiment on it. Libstein snuck into the GIW headquarters many times to steal equipment. With most of the GIW agents out hunting the “ghost boy” this was very easy for him. Libstein tried to catch Danny Phantom himself a few times but to no success. After the events concerning the Disasteroid, it was revealed to the world that Danny Phantom was a human and ghost hybrid. This changed everything for Libstein. This was what would change his research. If he found out the secrets surrounding a ghost and human hybrid he would gain the respect he deserved.
Libstein found that capturing Danny Phantom for experiments would be too difficult and decided that he could make a hybrid himself. The only question that remained was who the test subject would be. Dr. Libstein came across the aftermath of a gunfight and found the teenage druggie, Dylan Shaffer. Libstein took her back to his lab to treat her wounds. Once she awoke, Libstein learned of her broken home and her desire to leave it behind. Figuring no one would miss her, Libstein settled on Dylan as his test subject.
At first, everything went according to his plans; Dylan received ghost powers after many tests and his research was flourishing. After months of living with Dr. Libstein, Dylan wanted more power and to become a full ghost but Libstein refused her wishes. Dylan became angry with Libstein and destroyed his lab. He was presumed dead after the incident.
