Description

Onto the next Hope Hollow family! This time the Sunny Skies and Petunia Petals family! Before I get into their kids I need to go over some brief lore that changed from canon to my AU since it's pretty important to their kid's stories. Hope Hollow is a territory owned and run by Sunny Skies family, it was originally founded by pegasi (hence the Skies name) but after some time the genetics were filled to the brim with earthponies. Originally all the barons were mares cause Equestria has historically been matriarchal but now it's just the oldest child. Another important thing, hope, and hopeless magic. Hope Hollow at one point was cursed the exact reason for this curse was lost to time but it led to the events of Rainbow Roadtrip. Hopeless magic is extremely difficult to completely irradicate since it's quite frankly impossible to make an entire town have spirit again. Especially when they know the land they live on is cursed. I'll make a journal post going more in-depth about hopeless magic later, anyways starting with the kids!

Spectrum Skies, being the oldest child he from birth had a lot of pressure put on him as the next baron of Hope Hollow. His parents did try to give him a carefree childhood which was still fairly difficult considering he studied more than his siblings were ever required to. Spectrum like his father is a bit of a nervous wreck who tries his best in everything. He has a talent for leading Hope Hollow and was ecstatic to receive the same mark as those before him. In his childhood, he had a hard time getting to know ponies but thanks to his mother's encouragement he became quite the social butterfly.

Promenade had a bit of a hard time getting along with her family growing up. She tended to act spoiled and sometimes above those around her. Her reality check came when she met her best friend Mother Hen. She was the daughter of a local chicken farmer and a bit of a nerd. At first, Promenade hadn't realized this when becoming friends until she went to Hen's farm. Over time she got over her spoiled behavior (people don't change overnight after all). Although she's not as rude and entitled as she once was she still tends to be naive to the advantages life gives her and she still ofc spoils herself but she shares the wealth more.

Skyblue Chimes is as obvious an Alicorn. She was originally born a unicorn who later discovered she had a talent for giving inspiration. Hope began to dwindle yet again and color started to fade although they knew why it made it worse since no colors = no hope and if enough ponies were losing hope it made sense for some to lose their own hope even if it wasn't hopelessness about the town itself. Ponies began to have more and more negative reactions and Skyblue performed a spell that she shouldn't have been able to in order to try and get rid of the curse. This caused her magic core to explode granting her wings and enough power to pull it off. Like every alicorn, she almost died in her small hometown. Twilight with a fleet of doctors rushed to Hope Hollow and for nearly 3 months her family worried. It took almost an entire year for her to fully recover from the sudden explosion but she was ultimately able to recover. Not only recover but her spell was able to fix much of the curse. Nowadays she travels to help fix curses and help those who have become hopeless. Despite her travels, she spends most of her time in the Hope Hollow region since the hopelessness curse is particularly strong and without her, it could regain its power again. To the ponies of Equestria she is put on a similar pedestal as Cadence both being considered "demigods" Skyblue is often called the demigod of hope and a good luck symbol to travelers. She isn't considered a princess since she technically speaking isn't one and is more of a traveling mage.

Bluestar is only a few years behind Skyblue in age so for the majority of her life she was the star of the family. Bluestar is talented in magic and was often praised for it in her youth. Despite her being fairly good at magic and being pushed toward the field her true talent is actually music. After Skyblue had ascended and fell ill the entire family rushed to her bedside. Bluestar herself did as well but also valued her alone time away from the excitement of her magic abilities and the silent pity of her not yet getting her mark. So she played her piano in her room to vent and began to develop her skills more. After her sister had recovered she offered to play music at the party the family planned on holding to celebrate her recovery. While playing is when she got her cutiemark. The celebration quickly turned from a recovery to a cutiemark and recovery party. At first, Bluestar was nervous to be taking away Skyblue's attention, however, she was quickly reassured by her older sister who was at this point crying tears of joy about her little sister finally discovering her talent.
