Well this lil' monster has kept me terribly busy over the last week....(Well that and stripping walls....)here are the stats: 670 layers
and over 500 photo elements gathered from a variety of internet sources inc. photobucket and sxc.hu....Oh and I finally nudged photoshop up to a GIG in image size....Ha ha...I could feel its pain.....
Brushes.....I used one JS Scully Lightning brushes for the (guess)....lightning......
Other than that it was dodge 'n burn and the usual layer styles
Other bits n bobs..... inspiration....The most beautiful preserved ship in the world the Vasa:

sorry for the oh so late reply..... Thanks for the fave.. its not a very popular image I figured there must be something wrong with it....... Its one of the reasons I've been away from DA for a while.... seeing if I could put in some serious learning....

The coloring is amazing and the depth with all the different layers makes for a wonderful play, see something new everytime you look at it. Wonderful how many hours you figure when into this?

That one's really good too. Then again, I've always liked the thought of life at seas, pirates, etc. For me though, it's my favorite from your gallery.
