I love Lovebirds, eventually in a few years there will be one (well probably 2 cause how can you not have 2 lovebirds?) in my home.

I love the style an your colors!

If you get a nice handfed one that bonds to you they can be alone, but mine had been at the pet shop too long and bonded with the other bird for sale, now I don't think it's interested in bonding with humans, but it was making slow progress with me, such as trying to eat from my fingers if I made a beak with my fingernails. The bird will bite anyone else But it just licks me (and bites me too sometimes) Maybe it would be happier with another bird. They are more aggressive, but charmingly smart birds.

I'd end up finding a local breeder and if I got a pair I'd get 2 males or 2 females at a young age. That way they can bond with humans and eachother. I worry about opposite sex because of territorial behaviors when they're sexually mature.

My little birdies may be enough to inspire me to get back in the groove.
