Critique: Shading and color and soforth are amazing, very high quality. Anatomy is mostly good, just one nitpick: the belly is a bit too large, to where it looks kinda unrealistic, which was a bit of a turn-off. OtherΒ than that, great job!

Do you find chubbier girls attractive, and so comes the reason for the vast quantity of art based upon that? I find it intriguing as to why there are so many artists who enjoy drawing... overweight people, to say the least.Β

Not weird, no. You're not the first one to ask, and probably not the last one.
I do find chubby girls attractive, indeed (up to an extent that should not be deduced from the fictive world of drawings). I'm not different from artists who draw thin/fit/muscular people because they find them attractive, and I'm fairly sure that it's the case for most artists who draw similar things.
It's not that there are "many" of us. It's that we do not exist for the right-thinking mainstream media (TV ahead). One can never even know that we exist unless looking at an alternative media such as Internet. Where we appear to be numerous since it's one of the few places where we can express ourselves. It's a question of a concentration rather than raw number.

Yeah, I get that. I actually prefer chubbier girls than skinny, which is somewhat good because I'm a chubby girl. I just don't think overly chubby/crossing into obese as attractive, like many other people do, I'm sure. It's just something that interests me when I see a gallery like yours.
Interesting concept, also. I do notice now that there are many artists who are famous for their perfect-drawings appear a lot more on television, whereas I see more artists like you here on the internet. Quite strange.

Sizes preferences are really a matter of person, and for most people I've met so far, there's a difference between real life and drawings. For example, like you, I don't think that obesity is attractive in real life. But when it comes to drawing, I can remove what is bothering me, all the imperfections that real life creates, including things like health issues and such. It's nothing more that an idealized representation, an eye candy. Similarly to that, there are probably people who draw chubby girls who wouldn't think of a real chubby girl as attractive, thanks to this idealization.
On the opposite, there are people whose motto is "the bigger the better", and can find obesity attractive and sometimes further (for some reasons, TV like those people who can be shown as freaks...). But that's why, fortunately, there's always one person for someone else.
