A stony face stares out
toward the ending day.
The white scar of time
scrawls across its unchanging visage
- a tear of unemotion.
Reflecting down to up
on the mirror of still waters.
A shadow of beauty
that cannot be touched
- only broken with the slightest breath.
The last light lingers in twilight
as eyes slowly close.
While a heart opens
to hear the sound of silence
beneath an endless veil of clouds
stretched taut across the sky.

Je sais pas.. Sont zarbis les universitaires qui squattent les Centre régionaux de la Photo.. J'avais l'intention de monter un dossier pour pouvoir réaliser ce projet à fond. Je les ai rencontré mais je crois qu'ils n'ont que dégoût pour le type de photo que j'aime faire. Ils m'ont pas jeté, non, mais je sais pas un curieux feeling en sortant... Et puis ça me gave de faire de la prose universitaire sur mes travaux qui ont un propos tripal, je m'adresse pas à l'intellect mais au coeur, au bide.. Alors maintenant je sais faire, moi aussi j'ai taté de la poussière des mémoires universitaires verbeux mais ça me gonfle.. Je trouve abérrant que le marché de l'art soit aux mains de ce type de personnes qui vivent dans une bulle faite de théorie et qui ont oublié jusqu'à ce que c'est que faire une simple photo...
Maintenant c'est un projet qui me tient à coeur, je pensais pouvoir apporter un regard différent sur un thème très souvent abordé. Merci de tes encouragements!

Thanks!...No, I haven't a tutorial, it's just a simple shot at sunset on a beach.. Shot in digital, colour, raw. Converted in B&W in Adobe Lightroom, cropped in a square. That's all. No PS effects added.

Alright, thanks. I was inspired to play around in Photoshop a bit and managed to get a really good black and white look by using the Channel Mixer.

Yes it's a solution. Then, once in B&W try the levels and curves to enforce contrasts

Y'a pas à dire, mais Biville est vraiment agréable!! Même pour un terrain millitaire
On sent un soupçon de tempête qui pourrait rendre le paysage bien sympathique!! En ce moment, il doit y avoir de beau point de vue... va falloir que j'y retourne ^^
(et dire que je jouais à cache-cache avec une bonne partie des blokaus de la plage...

Oui, ces photos ont été prise après noël, l'atmosphère était magique, une lumière étrange.. Bref, ça valait le coup d'être là.. Mais tu as raison, ça vaut toujours le cas d'être là bas.. même pour un terrain militaire
