Wow, after the way you left the last page and the way the finale had been going, this page is a massive change in tone altogether. But it’s a very welcome one indeed.
Well, I bet BM (BeastMan) bought most of those! XD I can completely see him as loving to get his little Tofu a gift now and then. XD
I love how you’ve put her amongst all those plushies and pillows, it’s literally a visual show of how everything’s finally moved on from the darker tone at last and now Tofu’s back amongst the things she’s used to. For me the panels with her are absolutely fantastic because not only does Tofu look so cute (Her eyes are amazing, as always) but she’s also safe and fully recovered now. The nightmare is over, but I have a feeling she definitely will remember what she’s learnt. Having seen Mudo succumb to his demon and using her own powers she knows how important it is now to master them. But most of all its fantastic to see she’s finally free from the terror she just experienced and its all over at last. How you've placed her amongst all these princess-like things really shows that and it sets the tonal change perfectly. XD
I’m wondering if Avo stayed overnight or did he leave? I think probably he stayed to see how she would be when she recovers. Guess I’ll see right?
WHAT!?! The crystal is from Azarath?!? I was thinking about its origins but I wasn’t expecting that! I have a feeling there’s a lot more to this! Paine certainly seems to be well-aware of different variations of magic and Azarath but what was she going to say!?! Ahhhhhh!!!! You really do have a skill at picking the right moments for cliff-hangers or to end the page on!
I have to say that I’m really liking the new tone this page sets up! It’s over at last and its wonderful to see Tofu more like her princess-style than how she was during the battle with EvilMudo. I can’t wait to see their reunion! I think maybe Tofu will come into the room, ask where Mudo is and then he will appear… Damn that will be one right in the emotions alright! XD
Another excellent page which perfectly carries that more calmed, relaxed tone of a finale as you continue to close up plotlines while also possibly leaving hints for the future. So amazing to see Tofu finally wake from her nightmare, safe and comfy in bed at last. Outstanding work!
Until the next page I can’t help but think about what Paine was going to say. “BUT” WHAT?!?!? XD (Good teasing there Pi)
