Iron Snowfall [Grem2 FFA Prompt] Snow Falls Through the Bars
I remember the snow. I remember what it used to be like to stand in the center of Main St and watch it come down and coat the streets. My friends and I used to sit under the overhang of our bar and laugh at the people trying to rush out of it's way as if it were acid rain. Those were the days though, however menial they might have seemed to me back then. Now all I can do is stare at these stone walls and pray that maybe I'll get lucky enough to have one fall and crush my head. Wouldn't that be a fitting end to all this?
My cell is cold, cold enough to pierce even the thickest of coats. The only relief I get is from the thick patches of skin that have been littered with scar tissue from the arena. I suppose I could consider myself one of the lucky ones, at least my cell comes with a view. A small window maybe two feet across and 6 inches high, lined with iron bars for reinforcement.
