Things had been quiet. Way too quiet... There was no new holes in the grass. No disruption of the crops or the stacked wood Sol was always desperately trying to keep together and accounted for...

Lunaro furrowed his brow and let his gaze wander on the lands they decided to stop their journey on. No sign of an eagerly running pup or of one of the eerie black birds that always seemed to be around with her either. As his eyes moved from one area to the other, he stopped on the newly built house. It had required a combined effort but now things finally started to be more of an estate than just a camping ground. The cervine let out a thoughtful sound and decided to go check in. Just in case. The little one had disappeared out of their sight a few times before, giving them both a fright, despite repeatedly telling them to warn before "the roads called again". Why would the roads call for such a young soul, he wasn't exactly sure.

As he entered their house, he felt immediate relief. Quickly replaced with a bit of a new wave of worry.
Weevil was there, thankfully. But she had also found something to be busy with. A map of the whole isle, now eagerly scribbled everywhere with a piece of coal they have been using to teach the pup to write.

The small canine's ear twitched and she turned her usual big happy smile toward him.

"Hey, little one. I see you've been keeping yourself busy... Where did you find this... piece of paper ?"
"Over here !" answered Weevil with no hesitation, pointing at a now scattered pile of scrolls, equipment and items previously set in one of their travelling bags.

The cervine grimaced as he could already hear Sol's protest. Nothing seemed damaged but... caring for a pup was far from any experience they both had. Preys and predators had a very different way to think things through.

As he approached closer, searching for a way to put an end to the joyful doodling, something caught his attention. There were.. more words in there than mindless doodles. Lunaro furrowed his brows again and focused more on the wobbly letters and arrows pointing at specifics areas of the maps. His interest focused on one particular doodle resembling some ruins he knew for sure Sol and him had passed by in the past, on their travels and before they had found the perfect area to settle down. The placement on the map was... surprisingly accurate.

"Do you remember seeing that ?" Lunaro asked, pointing at the added marker on the map.
"Yeah ! It's that way." answered happily Weevil, extending her arm and pointed fingers to the general direction of the ruins. "It's not as big at these ones but it's less scary." she continued, pointing at another doodle of a ruined arch.

Lunaro slowly blinked.

"You've...been to all of these places ?" he asked again.

A hummed 'uhun' and a nod answered him as the pup turned back to the map to continue on her new task.
"I can take you, if you want. I know the way. Or, if I don't remember, they know. I can just ask them." proposed Weevil, pointing at another drawing on the map.

A new coal stain, this time more in a shape of a black bird. A crow, again. An eerie sign for an even more eerie little pup.
