Ive planned a sequence in my game early on that takes place in a cave, therefore I needed some cave dwelling pokemon. Enter this creepy kid. Due to no longer having a bat looking pokemon I wanted to try it out, however the cool twist is this isnt a bat at all, but a bug. It shares many traits withs bats tho.
