Description
So I have all my gym leaders basically done, Im redesigning some of the sprites, but here we have the first gym leader encountered in the Fridji region. Mourna, named after the word Mourn, is the Ghost Expert of the Epithyme Town Gym. Epithyme town, a combination of words Epitaph and Thyme, sits in the Hallow Mountain Pass, a place of spiritual energy where Mourna acts as guardian for the pass and protects the resting places of pokemon and people placed there. I like the idea of ghost being the first gym since most early level pokemon have normal moves which could prove a challenge.

Design wise, Mourna has a kinda ghost bride, grave digger vibe. My origial sketches of her had her dress resemble a cartoony skull which I kinda lost in this sprite, but its there "somewhere". I might add more descriptors cause I have a lot of notes on my gym leader designs.
