Joining the PlanetImia group is free for anyone, whether you own an Impim or not. Owning an Impim also doesn't require you to join the group.

Impims are a closed species, meaning you can't create one yourself unless you own an official MYO (Make-Your-Own) slot.

1. Acquiring designs, re-sales, trades and refunds.
Paid PlanetImia designs come in either flatsales, auctions, flatsale raffles or customs, created by either Kunmao, members of the moderation team, or Guest Artists who have been given permission to create adopts.

Flatsales are first-come-first-serve. Holds are only done if the artist in question allows it.
Auctions will need to be paid within 24 - 48 hours after winning, depending on the rules the artist has stated. If the winner fails to pay in given time frame, the adopt will either be offered to the previous bidder, or the auction will be re-set, depending on the nature of the bidding chain. This can be negotiated in certain circumstances. In case of the auction re-setting, the previous winner can not bid again on that design.
Flatsale raffles and/or customs are raffles/customs in which the winner gets to buy the adopt for the stated price. The winner has to pay within 24 hours after winning, or a new winner will be rolled. This can be negotiated in certain circumstances. Entering the raffle itself is free.
Guest Artists who have been given special permission to create designs will only be able to do them within limitations that are agreed upon first.
Designs by official artists will be submitted to the masterlist automatically and do not require the member to fill a form for it.

The buyer will receive WIPs of their custom (depending on the artist or if the person receiving said custom asks).

It is the buyer’s responsibility to point out things they are not satisfied with.
The last WIP will be of the finished design. After the buyer approves it and receives the finished design, the artist will have no obligation to go back to make edits!

Only authorized artists may make designs for sale.

Make sure the designs are official before buying!

Official designs will only be sold or given out in contests/events on DeviantArt.com.

Free designs may come in the form of free raffles, DTEs, XTEs, game rewards and more.

In case of any kind of design you can win, always read the deviation’s description for specific rules.
DTE stands for draw-to-enter, which means you need to draw, either the given design or gift art, to be entered into a raffle where the winner is random.
XTE stands for X-to-enter, where the X will be replaced by whatever the challenge is. It could be writing, crafting, or something completely different.
Game rewards are designs you can win through group games.

MYO slots can either be bought or won.

You must check the group for the availability of paid MYO slots. If they are available, the rules of the sale will be stated in the MYO sale journal/shop.
MYO slots can be won through participation in group activities, current and ones to come. Rules for winning will be stated in the corresponding place.
MYO slots do not expire.

MYO slot usage.

Your MYO slot must be under your name on the ImpimMasterlist in order to use it.
Your MYO design must be approved by Kunmao before it can be submitted for uploading onto the masterlist.
Once Kunmao has approved your design, you must submit it to be uploaded onto the masterlist.
You are allowed to commission another artist to design your MYO.

Designs and MYO slots both have a 1 week cooldown before their ownership can be updated again.

The cooldown of the design/MYO is initiated when it is first uploaded onto the masterlist; it is re-sold, traded or gifted.

Designs can not be based off of licensed media entities that you do not have the rights to, as well as designs from other Open or Closed Species that you personally did not design, or characters owned by other people.

Slight inspiration from copyrighted media is fine, as long as your design is different enough to stand as its own thing.

Re-sale, trade and gifting rules and values will be visible on every design’s masterlist entry.

It is highly suggested you keep track with proof of all your commissioned art value. The mods and potential buyers may ask for this when reselling your impim.
While we suggest that you keep track of your impims worth, we do allow members to sell impims and related content to be sold at whatever price they deem fit, within reason.
Scalping is highly discouraged and we ask that you do not buy any planet imia related content for the intent of reselling at a higher price. If we suspect you of scalping, we will ask you to lower the price. MYOs with no added content will typically cap out at about $70
There are no limits about trading or gifting designs or MYO slots, aside from the one week cooldown rule.

We do not allow the use of vouchers or trading of real life items for designs and MYO slots.

Vouchers for other characters, art, etc are perfectly fine both within the Imia group and Discord server.
Vouchers are to be approved by a mod before posting.

The masterlist must be notified if your adopt has gone to a new owner!

For this, you must reply to the proper featured comment under the masterlist entry. This helps avoid scams and keep it a safe environment.
Only the person currently listed as owner will have rights over the adopt, so if you get an adopt from someone else, check that the masterlist has been updated!
PlanetImia designs can only be owned by DeviantArt users.

Use extreme caution when offering on other people’s PlanetImia designs/slots on websites other than DeviantArt or the official Discord server. PlanetImia team does not operate on any other platforms than DeviantArt and our server. ALWAYS first make sure that:

The design has a masterlist entry.
The person has a DeviantArt account and they are able to prove it.
Their DeviantArt username is listed as the current owner of the design/slot.

When offering on other people’s PlanetImia designs or slots on DeviantArt, still make sure they are able to provide a masterlist entry first.

If you change accounts, remember to also notify the masterlist so that there won’t be any confusion later on.

Official artists of PlanetImia have no obligation to refund designs!

It is the buyer’s responsibility to make sure they want the adopt and are on good financial grounds before doing the transaction.
If the buyer runs into a sudden and unexpected situation where they would need a refund, they can contact the artist within 48 hours after having paid, or longer if it’s an unfinished custom. However, refunds aren’t guaranteed!

Rightfully owned designs will never be revoked (taken back), even if the user gets banned from the community.

The ONLY exception to this rule is in the case of a PayPal chargeback. If the chargeback was a mistake, contact the artist immediately! Otherwise the design’s rights go back to the group.

2. Design usage
The character’s owner will only have rights to the character design, NOT the original artwork or the species!

The original artwork can not be altered, the watermark can not be removed, and if re-posted, there must be visible credit to the artist.

Bought designs are not limited to this group!

If you own the design, you are free to use it in your personal projects on and off DeviantArt.
Taking part in the group content is for fun and not required.

Designs from this group can NOT be used commercially!

This is not negotiable.

You do not have to follow the group lore with the characters you own, as long as things stay within the ToS.

PlanetImia group will not accept cross-species art of your characters.

This refers to art where your Impim itself is depicted as a whole different species, whether open or closed.
You are allowed to submit art where your Impim is interacting with a different species character.

PlanetImia group will not accept any kind of NSFW or hateful content. Violating this may result in a warning or a ban, according to the severity of the offense.

NSFW art can be made, but can not be submitted to the group or posted in the Discord server, even with a warning or spoiler tag.
Hateful content is not tolerated in any form.

Official design changes must follow the ARPG rules and possibly need in-game items. See the Redesign Approval journal in the group for more information.

3. Blacklist
PlanetImia group blacklist is not visible to public.

This is to avoid bullying and to allow both parties to move on.

A person who gets banned from the group will get to keep their designs, or sell, trade or gift them away if they wish, but they will no longer be able to obtain new designs.

Due to being banned from group activities, they will also become unable to use their MYO slots, but otherwise same rules will apply to slots as well as designs.

Ban-evading and attempting to acquire new designs anyway may result in the design getting voided from the group.
This means it will no longer be recognized as an official PlanetImia design.

Being caught knowingly aiding a banned person to obtain new designs can result in consequences for both parties.

Mistakes do happen, but if we have proof, we will take action.

4. Admin/staff blocking
Do not block the species owner or any of our mods as this can cause issues, especially with communication. This includes both on Deviantart and in our Discord server.

Blocking any members of our staff may result in a warning or a strike for repeated offenses.
