This photo is being submitted for the 'Ugliest Building Contest' [link] sponsored by the HDR club [link] This photo is of two towers apart of a now abandoned briquette producing factory. Not only is this entire factory ugly, but when in full operation disgusting clouds of black smoke would come from this ares, (ironically this is in the town of 'White City' ). I merged 3 RAW exposures, then tonemapped with Photomatix. This file was then combined with correctly exposed file. I then made two copies of the tonemapped layer and blended one with hard light and the other with difference which created the sepia colors). I've been experimenting with different blending modes in HDR, and getting some unusual result.
