Description This is because of ~UnoSombrero - excerpts from our conversation below:

UnoSombrero: ...I can't concentrate
plangkye: D:
have you eaten?
UnoSombrero: yeah
it's just.... I don't know, I just end up doing silly stuff
plangkye: D:
what kind of silly
UnoSombrero: well
in Pathfinder I found an amalgam creature template
so I'm crossing a giant centipede with a Cassissian angel, which I guess looks like a winged helmet
to make a celestial Cassissian centipede that is still poisonous but can also breathe fire and is pretty dumb but staunchly good and is also as pretty as only an angelic creature can be (despite being a centipede)
...yeah
mostly just because the idea of an angelic giant centipede caught on for some reason
...I guess I could cross it with an aasimar and then it would be smarter
hmm
/dnd genetics
plangkye: I like it
UnoSombrero: it's just sad because it's so easy to make pretty heavenly mammals (or even octopuses!) but poor bugs fall under the vermin type and have a harder time of becoming smart and/or pretty
plangkye: Yeah
Makes me want to try drawing one or something
UnoSombrero: I know, right
I'm trying to hack together something smart enough that it could take character levels or something XD
wear a robe
"AAAUGH!" "No it's okay I am good"
*angel wiiiings*
plangkye: it'd be difficult to make a many-legged creature look less crawly
but i am sure it could be done
UnoSombrero: it would be
but presumably that's the price it would pay for having a climb speed
plangkye: having it walk around semi-upright if not climbing ought to help

*****

awwww mixing a vermin and a humanoid results in an aberration
poor guy
plangkye: what about the Awakened template
UnoSombrero: for whatever reason you can't cast it on vermin
or you need a feat to do so
plangkye: i could have sworn there was a vermin version of it
UnoSombrero: and there doesn't seem to be a template, per se 0_o
plangkye: hmm
UnoSombrero: waait
hold up
nooope, aasimars are native outsiders, and that trumps vermin
native outsider it is
plangkye: if it has the celestial template it stops being a vermin
UnoSombrero: yes
the problem is getting it to be smart, which is why I'm attempting a cross with a player race
plangkye: ah right
UnoSombrero: www.d20pfsrd.com/bestiary/mons…
plangkye: as opposed to merely intelligent
UnoSombrero: yeah; having a huge negative hit to intelligence kind of sucks
some hit is okay
but... yeah
plangkye: int 3 is a no-go
UnoSombrero: I've heard amusing stories of people playing Int 3 paladins and the like "WAKE UP FIGHT EVIL" but makes for limited character possibilities
plangkye: aasimar amalgam is looking like a good idea
thus allowing it to be an outsider
UnoSombrero: also gives the option of saying 'well it sort of has like buggy hands on all its limbs' so it can pick up and move things better XD

*****

UnoSombrero: haha
"Appearance: Mostly centipede-like save for dextrous grasping claws on all its limbs and minor physical traits that reveal its unusual heritage. Typical features include chitin that shines like metal, jewel-toned eyes, preturnaturally graceful movement, or even a glowing, golden halo."
o/
plangkye: Yeahhhhh
UnoSombrero: thing is, adding the aasimar half means it also now has access to all the assimar feats/options
of which there are many
...and it gets to keep its full climbing speed
so you now have an angelic paragon of good with forty limbs and the ability to move on ceilings
plangkye: I want to make one of these as a jumping spider

Jumping spider, sadly, was a no-go - I tried, but couldn't figure out how to make them look even more sympathetic.

Anyway, one Centipodal Arthromar for you. Enjoy.

I kind of want to include this in a campaign, just so I can show the players this picture and say "you enter the room and you see THIS" and then see what they do.

If you do that I will tell Uno. I am sure she would be thrilled.

Sadly, I'm not currently GM'ing a campaign. But if I ever do get the opportunity I intend to take it.
