i honestly can't because i am just an ordinary human myself. earth-creatures only know of four real sexes: male, female, asexual (such as plants, bacteria, and archaebacteria), and no-gender (such as rocks). There are millions of genders that humans have created, but what about non earthlings?

ok also theres a difference between sex and gender
gender is mental state of where you feel on scale of feeling masculine or feminine or neither
sex (on humans) is what youre born with (peen, vag or some kind of birth defect of a genitalia)
rocks are not capable of having a gender or sex, some types of plants have sexes tho like XX and XY chromosomes (but not genitalia lol) depending on who's pollinating who
but theres a huge scale of gender, and a small scale of sex
so like.... are you thinking of like a weird type of alien sex of some kind bc that sounds wEIrd???????????????????

No the alien doesn't have a sex but it's not asexual (not the gender meaning, the sex meaning.) But it reproduces much like organisms with a sex. It's not weird, it's how the alien evolved, how the alien has always been. If humans were asexual creatures who reproduces via the human's self, then that wouldn't be weird either because it would be normal.
Acutallly this alien might not even reproduce by anyway I can think of. It doesn't clone themselves like viruses do, it doesn't have eggs or sperm, it doesn't... hmmm my mind hurts. It doesn't have a sex (but it can definitely assign itself any gender it so chooses such as the gems in steven universe who are genderless but go by female pronouns) but it does have children. UGH omg my head hurties
