I think I understand how this works.
I've had to make a life changing choice, and although I never faked a frown, I did fake a smile for a period of time. It hurt me, and I didn't like doing it. I finally just told myself, faking being happy with the state of the choice isn't going to make me happy, so why am I going along with it?...
I told people how I felt, and sure, someone got hurt, but I felt better knowing I was happy, because no matter what happened, someone was going to get hurt. And I didn't want that person to be me.

I wouldn't care if she actually added anything to the quote, instead of writing it on paper and taking a picture of it. How do you know she didn't steal it? At least ten of her deviations of words written on paper are from Facebook groups; this is why I assumed that is where she got them. Even if, as you say, 'it's just a quote', it's still a highly unoriginal image because she doesn't add anything of herself to it.
