Description E. coellensis is another small mosasaur, being 2.8 meters (9 feet) long. It is actually the larger species in the genus, with E. sternbergii being not much smaller at 2.6 meters (8.5 feet) long. It is special because it is the most complete mosasaur found in South America, as most other South American genera are from fragmentary remains and teeth. It is also one of my favourite Extinct animals, because it's so sleek, like a prehistoric torpedo.
