Finally got some spare time to do some quick painting! There was a small doodle in my sketchbook in which I loved how Gina's side profile looked, so I tried coloring it of course //v\\ b

The title comes from something I learned during art therapy at the psychiatric wards: if a patient draws a side profile in their art, it means that they're ambivalent about their current situation. (facing dead front means they're ready to take it on, and drawing the back of the head means they're running away/avoiding it) There's nothing deep about this piece in general, but i wanted the title to look cool other than something like 'bust drawing' :'D

It's less stressful coloring directly under pencil lines because if I create lineart over the sketch, the initial 'feel' of the sketch is lost (and it takes a lot more time AHAHA) // so recently I've been trying to do clean pencil drawings so that I can go straight into the coloring process. I'm happy I don't have to race against my limited time in that aspect ;7; Also tried overlaying some nice textures *v* textures are lyfe!

I'm not sure when I'll be able to post art again.. midterms are looming closer;; but I have a ton of pencil sketches in my sketchbook so perhaps I might do some more painty endeavors when I need to destress!
