The Juniper Tree is an awesome fairy tale by the Grimm Brothers. Okay, take that back.. it's too insane and gory to be called "awesome" for a fairy tale, but it's tons of times awesome when the main chars are Kagamine Len and Rin.

See, there's this lowerclass-man (er, woman? Since she's a girl?) of mine who goes to Gwacheon Middle School (the school I graduated last February), and she went to Comic World last May and got this thick doujinshi of Vocaloid. It wasn't just any Vocaloid doujinshi!! It was a VOCALOID FAIRY TALE DOUJINSHI!!!!! OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOGMOGMROIFIEW RHEWhrai;fjhreieh'fewhfieofh fhdoi;hewaif IT WAS EPICNESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!! I DIED FROM THE EPICNESS!!!!!!

...anyway, there were 4 stories: Sleeping Miku (parody of Sleeping Beauty), The Red Heels (this.. is a parody of a not-very-well-known fairy tale about red high heels. It's really insane.), Kaito and the Beanstalk (the beanstalk turned out to be a gigantic leek), and The Juniper Siblings (parody of The Juniper Tree). The last one was my ultimate fave after Kaito and the Beanstalk, because the person who drew it was the person who drew the Servant/Daughter of Evil series doujinshi. And she's really great at plotting the story.

In short, yeah. This drawing is a fanart for her Juniper Tree doujinshi. Len's the big brother who was killed by his stepmother, and Rin's the little sister who buries his bones after their family eats him. But don't worry, Len is reborn again at the end.. at the cost of his stepmother's eye and life. (Len didn't have a right eye at the beginning, which is why he's got the eyepatch on his eye. Later when he's reborn, his eye is replaced with his stepmother's red eye, and his stepmother sinks under the Juniper Tree with blood streaming out of her eye socket. EPIC.)

I wish I could scanlate the doujinshi for you guys to read, but upon respect of the epic person who drew it, I won't. :3 But I've got to say, she is really really good at scenarios. And making her readers cry. *cried at every doujinshi she drew*

You know, someday I'm going to draw a fanart for Kaito and the Beanstalk too. That one was just so cute! 8D It was a chibi comedy!!! XDDD
