Description

Another art piece for the FNaF: Faz-Kart Racing game and in my campaign to get this game officially made, this time it’s the potential box art, to visually show what ideas I have for the game, I am still working on that game design document, it’s over 10,000 words long with 26 pages, detailing the roster, customization, driving mechanics, racing modes, battle modes, power-ups, UI, multiplayer both online and split-screen, and even then, I still haven’t covered everything, need to do sound, details on tracks, leaderboards, more in-depth on the online, adventure mode and just finishing off all the other sections, there’s so much to do.

When the design document is done, what will I do with it? Honestly not sure, send it to Scott to see what he thinks, print it out and carry it with me when I go to Comic-Cons to show people.

During the writing I always wondered if this game could work as a always online live-service with constant updates and new content like characters, tracks other cosmetics, I was open to the idea however after recent events I am now very against it, this is due to the soon to be shut down FNaF AR, with the game shutting down, it’s going to become lost media and everything that has ever been purchased will be gone forever, seriously I feel sorry for anyone who actually spent money on the game.

Also if it was a free to play game, it’s going to be filled to the brim with microtransactions, slow progression and other kinds of predatory monetization, which thanks to FNaF AR has proven to be a massive turn off for a lot of fans. Even if Faz-Kart was to shut down, you would still have the single player gameplay and the split-screen to enjoy, certainly more than FNaF AR where you’re left with nothing.

One more thing, if Scott is considering making a game like this, which I hope he is, he’s probably temping to make it in Roblox, which I’m also against, one of the reasons I’ve already mentioned, it’ll be a free to play game filled with predatory monetization, kind of like that upcoming FNaF: Survival Crew with what I seen about the game, the second is the lack of spilt-screen, that is one of the biggest features and Roblox doesn’t support it.

I know Scott loves Roblox and he’s properly saving a lot of money not paying for online servers but a game like this you cannot cheapen out on, find an experienced developer, make it in the Unreal Engine or whatever game engine the devs have, price it a £30 – £40 and release it on PS5 and PC, with Switch and Xbox ports later down the line.

You can support the servers through other means that just microtransactions, new tracks should be free but everything else can be supported with DLC packs or even merchandise, think about the amount of toys that can be made with this concept.

Always, that’s it for now, I will be doing more in the future, concept art for tracks, concept UI and other stuff in the meantime.
