I just re-read this part of the book again, and I love it to the Moon and back. Also, awesome colors. Exactly a hopeless-but-maybe-lets-see-what-can-come-after night with wionderful colors on Optimus. And a bitter, grieving-Soundwave-and-all-the-glorious-plans-they-shared Megatron.

I really, really, REALLY like the broken city you designed. It's much better than anything I ever could imagine.
And the fact that you put in the glyphed pillar at Prime's feet, and Megs throwing stuff, always makes me feel loved. Ah, details!!
Both bots have cool designs, with elements from many of their iterations. But I like Meggy's legs the best, I think -- they're extra cool.
