OKAY HERE WE GO LET'S UPLOAD SOME ARTI made this quite some months ago for a Tarot card project of the game Guild Wars 2 on Tumblr!ย
Sadly not everyone completed their part and we missed half of the cards, so the full set was never completed.
I chose the Charr/Strength card. Charr have a really weird and unusual anatomy, and while I think I could do it much better now it was my first time drawing one, and I think I did pretty well! Not going to bother with an in-dept description here, if you want to read it, it's on my art tumblr!
Also you can zoom in quite a lot to see all the tiny hairs I drew. Ridiculous, really. Also the rifle was a paaain.

YEAH I DID and then I airbrushed over all of them to make at least 50% of them disappear aww yeah รฒvรณ /cries/
That was too bad indeed, I would have loved to see them all together :c BUT at least I finished my part and that's what counts for me harhar :'D

BTW ik kijk elk jaar wie is de mol en dit jaar zitten ze in China
En in de eerste aflevering moesten ze allerlei locaties vinden en ze mochten de weg alleen vragen in het chinees
En ze hadden wel een chinees woordenboek maar ze konden er niks van en niemand verstond ze en het was zo grappig want hoe werkt chinees

Im crying because you're describing how you watch "wie is de mol" and how everyone is trying to speak chinese but nobody can pronounce chinese because chinese and this conversation is a year old. Look at how not far we have come. I am so tears.

Anyway, it's gorgeous. >w< Love the colors, they set such an incredible mood~! It's greatly detailed too so I can't imagine how much time it must have taken. The shading is so soft and the fur looks so fluffy at the same time? How did you manage to make it look so good? o:

Awww thanks Mea! ;u; It did take quite some time indeed but not as much as you'd think!ย
Mainly because I started only a few days before the deadline :'Dย
And to be honest, I don't really know myself! รณvo At first I wanted to give her some markings of the shading's colour, but then I realised I had no idea how to shade fur of two different colours and decided to turn it into shading instead :'D Then I drew all those tiny hairs and blurred them out a bit so they wouldn't stand out too much. My hand hurt a lot after that, I can tell you! ;o;

Do you use SAI? The watercolor tool is really great! I usually use that to smooth things out instead of the blur tool uvu
Oh, and if I remember this right, I didn't exactly blur the hairs, but rather used the airbrush tool to let them fade away a bit into the fur colour :>

It's a great program for painting, it can blend colours really well! So if you'll ever consider buying it, I highly recommend it!
But I still use photoshop to add outlines, text or to add filters and the like. SAI doesn't have that much layer options and stuff. But for the most part SAI and PS are pretty similar!
