Uh, I wanted to record a message for you to help you get settled in on your first night. Um, I actually worked in that cave before you. I'm finishing up my last week now as a matter of fact.
So I know it can be a bit overwhelming, but I'm here to tell you: there's nothing to worry about. Uh, you'll do fine, so let's just focus on getting you through your first week, okay?
Uh, let's see... First there's an introductory greeting from the Dark Forest that I'm supposed to read, eh, it's kind of an important thing. You know.
Welcome to The Dark Forest, a magical place for kits and grown clan cats alike, where cats become warriors that will soon become leaders.
The Dark Forest is not responsible for damage, mentally or physically, to cats. Upon discovering that damage or death has occurred, a missing cat's report will be remembered but never revealed. Uh, you kinda disappear. Sorry. Blah, blah, blah.
Now that might sound bad, I know, but there's really nothing to worry about.
Uh, the double-dead Dark Forest warriors here do get a bit quirky at night, but do I blame them? No! If I were forced to fight and bleed all over the place and train dumb kits for 20 years, and I wouldn't even get time to clean my fur? I'd probably be a bit irritable at night too.
So remember: these warriors hold a special place in the hearts of all warriors and kits by training them, and we need to show them a little respect, right? Okay.
So just be aware; the warriors do tend to wander a bit. Uh, they're left in some kind of "suddenly-alive" mode at night, uhh, something about them vanishing if they don't move--forgotten or something. Uhh, they used to be able to train around during the night at all times, too, but then there was the Dark Forest vs. StarClan battle...oh, and "the Bite of Antpelt." Yeah. It's amazing that a cat can die twice, y'know?
Uh, now concerning your safety: the only real risk to you as a night former-Dark Forest trainee here, if any, is the fact that these warriors, uh, if they happen to see you at anytime, probably won't recognize you as a passing by warrior and will recognize you as the former warrior that betrayed them. Now, since that's against the rules here that a warrior betrays their trainers at the Dark Forest they'll probably try to uh... forcefully kill you in the most brutal way possible.
Um, now that wouldn't be so bad if the claws they wield themselves weren't knife-sharp... Uh, the only parts of you that would likely see the light of day again would be your eyeballs and teeth that would be kept as souvenirs. Yeah, they don't tell you these things when you decided to prove your loyalty by doing this.
But hey; first day should be a breeze. I'll chat with you tomorrow, uh, check those warriors, and remember to only wound these warriors only if absolutely necessary. Gotta conserve your strength.
