Description [image description: Nc sits on the ground, rubbing his eyes. He is surrounded my many other clones who have gathered around and are staring down at him. One of them is wearing a top hat. Many more clones watch from the shadows, on both ground level and the second standing level, their white shining eyes sometimes attached to a shadowy figure and sometimes seemingly floating in the dark purple background unattached to anything else. Shitty clone (Sc) and Funny clone (Fc) stand a few meters away. Fc looks unsure as he fiddles with a single leaf in his hands. Speech bubbles surround the crowd, saying "They only interpret...." "No-No, no." "Little Brother..." "You are making it worse." "managerial position..." "It is simple" "They are appointees."  "Temporary..." "...blessed by the Horde..." "They attend..." "we are assigned!" "under their purview" as well as indistinct grumbling. A clone wearing a poncho with a high collar bends down to get on the floor next to Nc. "Fret not, Little Brother! Allow elucidation to occur!" He says, his speaking color dark magenta. The Panel transitions to a large diagram. A green diamond with a tiny doodle of Horde prime lounging in his throne is at the top, radiating light. Below him are large brackets in a bat-wing like shape. Under the brackets are lines pointing to a few white diamonds, and other them are more, smaller brackets with lines pointing to more white diamond shapes, and beneath them are more brackets, and on and on. The diagram seems arbitrary in the amount of diamonds under each bracket, and not every diamond gets a set of bracket under them, but the pattern fills the panel and get cut off by the size of the page. The magenta speaking clone narrates over the graph with a cheerful expression. "The Hive Mind is the most efficient network ever devised! Because each Brother-of-Prime is a Prefect Copy of our Lord in both body and mind, He is able to exalt a few of His spare minds to oversee specific functions of the greater Horde! To each of them is assigned a certain number, of Vessels to act as His hands directly! These clones 'attend' to specific duties a rotating manner as needed! For this reason our Position is called the 'Attendant' level!" Nc looks at him. "I understand that part..." he says. /end description]

diagram laid out by my sister.

just some notes on how the horde was organized in this comic, this was supposed to be my lore drop segment but i didnt end up finding a way to make them organically say everything out loud and idk if i ever will, so ill just put this here as an easter egg.

so the horde in this version of the story was organized under the premise that while the clones dont seem to have rank over each other like hordak described in the show, horde prime was not personally overseeing everything that needed doing.

instead, the knowledge to do any given task is stored in the hive mind, much like cloud storage in our world, and when they were assigned to a new task the relevant information would be downloaded directly into their brains. some things they all start with, like how to talk and walk, + who horde prime is, ect. but under the hive mind any clone no matter how young could step up and perform any task. (post hive mind they only know how to do tasks that they have already done and have to learn new skills from scratch.)

they did have managerial tasks including 'general,' but these positions are not revered the way hordak made them out to be. if a clone has a management job that means that he has a big task, like keep the kitchen running, and hes been assigned a number of other clones, attendants, that he can then assign smaller tasks to to make this happen.

officially, managers do not rank higher than attendants because any clone could get a new task assigned to them at any given time and they could be replaced by any other clone, but in practice getting a manager job is semi permanent. as long as the job keeps needing to be done hes not likely to be removed from it unless he messes up or gets 'retired'. there are many positions like this on the ship, and if a clone is lucky enough to get such a position he can live hundreds of years or more.

clones are usually decanted to do a specific task, sometimes to fill a task on the ship, but most often in large batches, often as battalions of foot soldiers. this is because with the hordes portal technology its often faster to just decant new ones and send them off, than it is to round up a bunch of other clones away from their other tasks, and they dont need to be trained. if a clone like this survives his first task, hes given a new one until that task ends, or hes killed in battle. off-ship clones tend to be much younger than their ship counter parts for this reason. when a clone is at the attendant level and is constantly hopping between short term tasks he is "in rotation."

the crew of the velvet glove is made up of a skeleton crew of permanent positions that are required to be filled in order to run the basic functions of the ship, and a revolving door of attendants assigned to a particular part of the ship, who may be sent off-ship at any given time.

while managers dont rank above attendants, horde clones do rank themselves by how close they are to horde prime, but these are not official positions.
