The picture does look weird out of context but if you’ve been living under a rock, I’ll explain (some of the story is on my last drawing)

Willow (tall dog) and Cotton’s (shorty) family had this thing with the shape of their pupils. The main family is anyone with special pupils and the side family is anyone who doesn’t have special pupils. Diamond-shaped pupils signifies that you’re probably gonna be more rich in the future. Heart-shaped pupils means you’re gonna have a better social life with more friends and a lover. Spade-shaped pupils (the one Cotton has but it’s hard to see x d) means that you’re physically stronger and would most likely win in a fight. Clover-shaped pupils are kinda a gamble. You can have one of the other traits (common), a combination of two (uncommon), or all three traits (rare). Since Willow doesn’t even have pupils, Cotton makes fun of her because she isn’t any special than the relatives with normal pupils.
