Almost done with my next gen Mane 6! Jewel is actually my oldest character ever- I originally made her probably a decade ago now! She's undergone some rethinking and redesigning, I hope you like her~

Crown Jewel (she/her)
For most of her life, Rarity has been an absolutely hopeless romantic. Cautiously and gracefully jumping from relationship to relationship just trying to find the perfect pony for her, only for it to end up either mutually bad (at best), or disastrous. So it was no surprise when Rarity and Fancy Pants started dating very soon after equestria was saved from Crysalis, Tirek, and Cozy Glow. What was a surprise, however, was when Rarity announced they were getting married only a year after they started dating... and that she was pregnant!
Rarity had always dreamed of a huge, majestic wedding that would compete with even the Grand Galloping Gala, so when Rarity and Fancy Pants got married outside of a church in Canterlot with only a modestly sized crowd and just a few months of planning, their friends became concerned. They seemed happy though... and Rarity was over the moon to finally start a family, so any concern was pushed away for the time being. Rarity and Fancy Pants had their wedding, Jewel was born soon after, and they all lived happily ever after!
..... eh.... if only. A mare can dream, right?

I won't go into detail about what happened right now, but Rarity and Fancy pants ended up divorcing when Jewel was just 4 years old. And pretty soon after the divorce, Rarity and Apple Jack started dating. Not that Jewel minded, much. Rarity was very emotional and disconnected around this time, which bothered little Jewel a lot. Apple Jack, however... was a very loving parantal figure. Something that Jewel didn't have much of around this time. Sure, Jewel was angry and bratty towards Apple Jack for a while, but can you blame her? Her whole life suddenly changed, and her mom and dad were seemingly forgetting about her. She was mad at everything right now. Apple Jack understood though... instead of getting mad at her, or ignoring her, or telling her to stop, Apple Jack sat down and listened to her. Jewel would throw tantrums and lock herself in her room, and Apple Jack would leave a warm meal and a toy for her at her door. Jewel would start hitting and attacking Applejack, and Applejack would take her out to the orchard and let Jewel take out her frustrations on a tree.
Rarity got better, of course, and Jewel loves her mom... for the most part. But Applejack was a caring pony when Jewel needed it most. Jewel and Rarity continue to have a loving, but... very complicated relationship. Jewel and Fancy Pants, however, never get along, and never see each other.
Jewel is sad that her life changed so harshly and suddenly when she was young, but she loves her family now. Even if she doesn't show it.
Nowadays, Jewel loves disappointing her mom by constantly dressing black, dying her hair, and smoking. She loves building, exterior design, and making homemade foods (Applejack is proud!). She has a small garden in her Manehatten apartment for growing herbs and spices, and has at least one jar of kimchi being fermented at any given moment. As odd as it sounds, she loves the world of architecture and exterior design, and is currently in collage to get a masters in Architecture! (once again, Applejack is proud)
She frequently travels back to ponyville to see her little brother, and help on the farm (she loves it when they have to build a new shed) (she also loves giving her mom a heart attack by getting mud all over her beautiful, white coat). In her spare time, she is the lead singer in a alternative rock band with some friends (who I will introduce soon~) for fun. And when she's not doing that... eh, she'll find something. She hates sitting around in silence for too long.
Jewel is constantly in a battle with herself, hating the fact that her parents are Fancy Pants (a selfish dickhead) and Rarity. Because of this, she keeps her hair dyed and her cutie mark hidden as a way to "create her own identity". One day she'll find comfort and happiness, I promise~
Jewel has a younger half brother as well, who you will see soon! She, along with many other ponies, love him to death, and she would literally tear apart the world for him if she had to. She has a lot of love in her~
