Description It's been inchworm season around here lately and it's insane, every single square inch there seems to be one hanging there. Maybe that's how they got their name.
I really don't mind inchworms in small doses but when there's a nest in every existing corner, and when they seem to nest in the air around you, well, it's uncomfortable. Their nests kind of creep me out.

I'm with you.
Had one on my shoulder while driving after some woodsy photo work. Freaked me out. Threw him down to the floor. The NEXT DAY...while driving...he ended up on top of my head...hey what's this...AHHHHH!
Green little buggers.

hahahaha! That's terrible timing, right when you're driving!
It's strange, if I'm walking with a group of people they only seem to go on them but not me even though they're pretty much part of the air. (I basically live in a forest.) Still, it's makes me so uncomfortable to see them all hanging down like that in the splotches of sunlight.

I used to think they where like giant spider nests when I was younger. I was always afraid they would attack me & make a giant cocoon around me...

Their webs do look similar to those of some spiders.
That's a freaky thought!
haha When I was little I used to think earwigs were called earwigs because someone told me they would burrow into your ears, so I always covered my ears and kept my distance.

Thank you!
Oh wow, really?
I just checked your profile and wow, South Africa? That sounds so exotic and exciting... I wish I was there right now.
Yeah, inchworms are these tiny little worms that nest everywhere and hang down from trees so when you're walking around you'll see a ton of them just drifting through the air. That's generally an exaggeration but depending on where you are it can get pretty absurd. They get in your hair and on your clothes and stuff
They don't do anything, they're actually pretty cute... but they stop being so cute when there are so many of them, especially in their nests.

Oh no! Alright, I'll come in a few months then!

My body just plain can't handle the cold at all. Winter affects my physical and mental health, I freaking hate it! So I'll stay here for a bit while it's warm and migrate there later!

My mom had one in her hair this morning.
He was adorable.
I didn't know him long enough to hear his name.
This picture I think this probably captures the creepy-ness of the nests.
Blaaahhhh...

sorry... in one of those moods.
