I see this as the sense that something is very, very wrong, as if the world is upside down. There's a huge weight crushing down on the people, but not necessarily something they can easily identify; their minds are clouded and in a muddy darkness.

very great work! interesting how the darkness separates the upper part which is a little less blurred than the lower. the feet keep on walking very fast and the head keeps the picture, but just a little less blurred

I disagree with =IAmPhoenixMoth 's comment...
I pictured this as a really loud and chaotic scene, with heavy pounding drums and a mob screaming things like "PIE! PIE! PIE!" except not like, heh, PIE, but as in, in their dialect, it means something nasty.

Like I always say, it all depends on how the viewer wants to interpret it. I like hearing contradicting opinions and points of view because it makes it all so much more interesting. I generally agree with every view because it's hard to get a wrong view. So, I do agree, it can definitely be very loud and chaotic. I see that quite clearly
