So here's my special birthday-drawing for my boyfriend. He turned 26 today ^_^

It's Pluytje and Neko again, this time on the day they met. It's in the courtyard of the school and Neko's watching the new firstyear students (including Pluytje) arrive from a tree. He's the curious kind of guy, you know. I wrote a little piece about this, which I'll probably put up when I get the site for Aeris Tales online. Hopefully I'll get to do that soon ^_^

So, now about the drawing. The characters were drawn by hand and then colored in photoshop. The background/forground was completely made in photoshop. I know I'm terrible at backgrounds (which is why/because I never make them), but I think this one's acceptable. The lighting isn't exactly how I wanted it, but it's ok enough. Overall I'm actually kind of proud of the result.
