I don't usually do backgrounds, and I also worked with the hair more than usual to try and add something to the picture. A lot more involved with this one than what I usually do with previous works. Let me know what you think.tools: pencil, pen, CS2

I really like this (of course xD). You said yourself that you don't often do backgrounds, but without one this picture would feel rather bland. The shading (and shining) is perfect; just the right places, accenting the skin and clothes very nicely. I like your approach, as well. Fairies are often very pretty and bright colored and such, but you went with a more natural look. The wings aren't big and show-offy, either. The texture of her hair is great, and the expression really makes you think she's really...kinda miffed about something.
The background was great; two simple trees and grass, all blurred to keep the focus on the main subject. I really like your clothing choice, too. Nothing fancy, flashy or show-offy. Very natural and convenient. Over all, an excellent job; I can find nothing wrong.
