1st is of course, is Chara. Now the reason why I've given Chara Paul's Hair-side-spike is more because even if Chara is they own Character, I still feel like they some hint of my self-insert to them. And yeah, wild I do Headcanon Chara being biological Male (as part of my self-insert) they still go by they/them and is non-binary at best.

My idea for Chara's backstory is they biological parent have been abusers, the other kid in school been bullying them (both boy and girl as why they don't feel like any gender) and the people in the village was distrusting and outright mean to the 'Red Eye Demon.' Not only they started to hate humanity but also hate themselves and would offend hurt themselves in hope they do at least care (sadly it doesn't work), Once they heard the legend of Mount Ebott and no one return to the mountain (Not just because of the Monster, they wouldn't know, but more to keep the national park free from human) and ran right there, wanting to disappear, but do to being raining, head to cave and trap down the hole and... well Asriel came for they help.

Chara was a little afraid of the Dreemurr at first, but one they show them they New Home (at New Home), Chara start to feel more welcome with them, finding someone that really really love them, unlike they biological parent, even like the gender neutral pronouns they call them (more because Monster wasn't sure what Chara is, not knowing human biologist) and adopted the pronouns to themselves.

They was starting to feel happy with themselves, that until buttercups pie mess, As Asriel was really upset and crying, Chara was more trying to suppress to cry themselves, but they laugh and cry instead. They self-hater coming back and feel like don't deserve to be with Dreemurr. When they find out the tale of how the Human seal the Monster down under and how a Monster with a Human soul us the most powerful. They come up with they plan.

Now Chara did manipulate Asriel with they plan, but only because feel like he can be trusted and that they thought it was better this and all be wroth it. One Chara dead to they buttercup poisoning, as Asriel taking they soul. They ask them to being they body up to the surface, to the flower bad in the village's park. Not only to give they body to rest, to make it easy for Asriel to take the Human Souls for his part. And so they can take they revenge on the people that have mistreat them. Only to have Asriel back out, not wanting hunt the Humans, worry that this may start a war. As Chara beg, cry and yell Asriel to fight them, "It Kill or be Killed" as Chara HOPE that Asriel would Kill them, but he chose to be killed, taking they body back home and dead.

After that, Toriel move they body to The Ruins, under the hole that Chara fell at. As Six other Human waken them, trying to help them but they all give up on themselves. The Last Human after the Six, Frisk was the one that Chara feel more alive, somehow have the power to controlled Frisk. As Frisk having the same Soul Color have the deeper grip, as Chara help Frisk out on they adventure underground.
