The Rogers-led CISPA bill passed the U.S. House of Representatives this afternoon. It is a horrible piece of legislation that would allow companies to bypass all existing privacy law to spy on communications and pass sensitive user data to the government: [link]

President Obama has threatened to veto the House-passed bill, but to keep him honest and on the side of internet freedom and personal privacy, it is important that the bill be defeated in the Senate. Call your United States Senators today at 202-224-3121 and tell the staffer who answers that you are calling to register your opposition to the Cyber Intelligence Sharing and Protection Act (CISPA) because it needlessly comprises user privacy. You can find the names of your two United States Senators here: [link] . Just use the pull-down menu in the upper right-hand corner, select your state, and your Senator's names and other contact information will appear, including their webform addresses if you wish to send emails rather than write. Either way, to be heard, keep your message short, to the point, positive, and civil.

Obama said he would veto it. He also said he would veto the ndaa section 1031, he also said he would close guantanamo bay, he also said we would bring back our troops, he also said he would force gmo labeling...

Yes. Call your two US Senators Monday morning to express your opposition. The number is 202-224-3121. Ask for your Senator's office and the switchboard will connect you.
