Several months ago I commissioned *Daimida to draw a copic bust of my heroine character Treulos, I was positively floored by the results.. In fact it has been my profile picture for my facebook since the day i got it
I had seen several versions of it colored and thought I'd set the record straight as it were as to her color scheme.. not that i don't enjoy seeing everyone else's take on her.. I just figured it was time I added some of my own flair to the mix.. I had hoped to reacquire photoshop since my laptop died, but alas it wasnt meant to be, so I knuckled down and gave my best effort and knowlegde of Gimp to get this far.. not to mention my tablet is broken so I did this all with a mouse 
.. and as far as my photoshop skills go i'd say it leaves something to be desired.. but for being so out of practice I can still smile and say it was worth the shot.. so now that ive gone an entire paragraph without saying much of anything I and just going to let you all come to your own conculsions for this.. coloring critiques are welcome but not required, off to bed with me!Character Treulos belongs to Mua

Oooooh, color added to a grayscale drawing. That explains the marker texturing! I was about to gush about getting that texture done digitally....
Still a great coloring job. Very bold. The whole thing just jumps out so well.

I didn't want to lose the integrity of the original piece, the marker gave it so much life I didn't want to ruin it by getting rid of it, so I used it to my advantage, I added some of my own tweaks and stuck close to what I knew, since I don't usually use Gimp often and not having my tablet put me at a bit of a disadvantage from trying more adventurous techniques.. I still like what I managed to come up with though

Hmmm. I think it looks pretty nice light, but darker may make her hair look a little more golden :3

Thanks, I don't know about that red feather though.. as neat as it came out I don't know if it really fits the rest of the scheme or if its a needed break from it.
