The shadows are great! And I love how you are looking up the stairs at the bright light. That is what makes the title perfect (for those who don't understand it). It is like you are in the vacant staircase and can't reach the top. Beautiful job.

*nods* I could see purgatory looking like that... It's so plain, contrasting your good looks. (Though the background is pretty in its own way.) Very simple... I love it. An excellent photo.
