It looks like a little baby pine tree to me I like this shot for a number of reasons. First, it shows how everything starts out small. Secondly, the tree is so bright and vibrant against the desolate gray background. To me, this shows a feeling of hope- how there's always a bright spot in the darkest days.

This photo takes me back to the day when I tried sustaining a little tree like this, potted, in my room.

I really like the depth-of-field; making it blurry around the focused area really gets my attention.

I would suggest taking out the dA watermark and if you really want to place one at the bottom of the picture. It's quite distracting there.
