Description
She was all about the dressand strand of pearls -
rainbow high,
arms akimbo
like a torch.
She could fill a stadium -
shirtless men
and women who fainted
at the sound of her name,
all clamoring for a mother.
And when she died,
the city went underground
with grief
and wore her like a boutonniere.

More is not always better.Β There is a lot to be said for the "Get on - do it - get off" philosophy in varous art forms.Β The late, lamented Ollie Knussen was a prime example in music.
