A very beautiful tribute, I will never forget how that day went, forever. The moment of the two towers is imprinted in my mind. And all of the heroes.

I know how you feel. It took several hours for it to really sink in that day...

I don't think any of us will forget where we were that morning. It had such an impact on the psyche of the world and I wish that people would remember how they united in those days. We are fragile, the earth is fragile, and yet horrors continue. We need to wake up...

It was hell. I really did not even believe it was real at first. I remember seeing it on the telly at work and thinking I was watching a bad movie...

I felt the same. At the time I was in customer service for Fed-Ex and everything came to a standstill as we watched it unfold. I received a call that morning from a customer angry because we wouldn't be able to retrieve his package. It was, of course, under the rubble of the World Trade Center. There was zero concern for the massive loss of life from him and I am bewildered by that to this day.

Eh, people can be so utterly self-absorbed and selfish. I should be used to it by now, but....

Thank you for sharing this tribute with the many of us that can't get there to share our own. Blessings on the ones we've lost, the ones that remain behind, facing the pain every day and the ones that fight to avenge the injustice.

You are welcome. I think a lot of people were effected by this. I was supposed to have gone to Portugal that month, but the trip was canceled due to a health issue with a member of my group. The travel company, based in Paris, was devastated by the tragedy of 9/11.

SAD DAU TODAY BUT NOTHING IS VAIN....We must be the future, an other future, without so many freedom in some sectors.
Sometime, hate feelings are natural and necessary.
I'm sorry to say that but I mean it.

It is one of the saddest days our world has lived and one we will never forget, the way life and history changed that day is still something heavy in the heart and the mind...
May all of the ones who died and the ones who suffered be and rest in peace.

It reminds me of two of my favorite songs from Les Mis..."Empty chairs at empty tables" and "Do you hear the people sing?"

You are right dear Brendan, those songs really 'fit' for the tragedy lived.
It will always be a sad day to remember, just a few days ago I watched 2 programs in the History channel about September 11th and even if you know it is a tv program, you can't avoid living that fear again,no terror/horror movie could be so scary as what we saw that day.

I'm so glad you posted this today. I saw it an went "oh my heck! It's 9-11!"
Why have we forgotten? It wasn't too long ago. I think it's interesting how our nation came together...and now has fallen apart worse than we were before.

That was said much better. It's so sad to see.
I was on campus and there were some boys who had a big banner that said something to the effect of "come voice your opinions about the 9-11 conspiracy" I mean, really. Come on. It's a day to honor those who died.
