A superhero who self harms is totally possible. I don’t know. I was just thinking about depression and self harm and wondering if there was anything like this (I've been informed that there is a hero called Penance since), and then I felt like crap so I thought I’d just draw it to stay busy, and now I’m sharing it.
Stitches (her name comes from a poem I wrote once and I guess I just see her as a superhero version of most of the people I know who self harm. Someone trying to protect those around her and hurting herself to try and deal with the pain of doing that.
Meh. Some random from my brain. Enjoy x
If you self harm try these websites for support [ Harmless ] [ MIND ] [ Befrienders ] and try to be strong. ‘Stitches’ is in no way meant to glorify self-harm. If you do not self harm, don’t. It’s a hell thats hard to escape. But it just doesn’t exclude you from being a superhero just because.

I agree with the above. It would be interesting to see in a comic/graphic novel. You could probably find someone to collaborate with...if, you know, that's what you wanted to do. It's an interesting concept, in any case.

You should defnitely write a graphic novel for this. It would open a lot of eyes!

Great picture with a heavy meaning behind it. I like it.

Superheros do not solve or end wrongs, they merely fight against them and win the battles within the wars that no other can.
By changing from herself to Stitches, she merely expands the scope of her experience.
