Description human kind just reached an Alien world, this planet, bigger than earth, is literally infested of life, organic structures can be seen from space, totally wild and dangerous life forms inhabit the planet, with a high evolution rate and constant depredation no species live more than some hundreds of years, caos and natural selection rule the place. Without rotation this planet always has a light and a dark side, who knows what mighty creatures may hide in the darker sides of this planet?

for the ship or for everything? the ship is really just a bunch of hexagons placed in the right way, as for the observatory idea, I found more realistic watching specescapes from a window of a space ship than just floating in space (like the most of the times), first, you have more perspective in the picture and also a sense of scale, and you can feel you are there. most of space art would look awesome with a window effect, but it can distract and takes away part of the canvas, also the window effect can't be just a frame around the picture you also have to make the glass or window partially visible, this mean putting a visible layer on top the hole picture which can mess up with the colours and the mood the picture will have without that window effect.
