I think they are the same character, just with different outfits, so they are the same character.

I like it that unless a lot of other people, who love to hate on everything new in PokΓ©mon you are equally excited as I am.
I love the new characters! They have such a nice hawaiian feel to them! I want to play and see the changes for myself.Β

Yeah, I notice a lot of hate but I guess it's due to expectations being so high that people didn't like what they got-. But yeah, I am quite excited for it too!
Yeah I can tell that possibly the player might have been in Alola for a longer time, possibly a year instead of just moving in. Same here, the only thing I'm hoping for is for certain characters who I felt were last minute adds and wasted potential to become much more important to the story then what we got in S/M - I felt Kahili, Ryuki and Mohn are in this category.

Sadly. I am pretty sure it is more like Black/White 2, which I loved, cause they extended and made a new story. I played Black 2 a lot and even made the Unova Dex.

hm, I don't think so - they mention that it'll be a alternate story line so I think it's more like Platinum, B2/W2 took place a few years after the first game.

When I think back to Platinum, it was really close... it had a few changes and additions (like Looker) and the legendary PokΓ©mon was Giratina. The rest was the same.Β
What tipped me off were different looking players. Well, we'll see. I will buy them regardless ^^

yeah, I think that's what will happen in US/UM but I heard they'll add some new areas to check out and new buildings that weren't in the original either. Plus it seems certain will be use, such as Kahili and Ryuki.

hala, olivia and acerola we at least knew about before we got to the elite 4, because hala and olivia are island kahunas and acerola is a trial captain, but we didn't even see kahili while we were on our akala island trials. it's like she just appeared...
