Description
Goddess. Enchantress. Mother.
To the Greeks, she was Circe, the daughter of a god and a sorceress who transformed men into beasts. She is perhaps best known for her encounter with Odysseus.
To the Celts, she was known as Cerridwen, a goddess of rebirth who brewed up potions in her cauldron. It is said she gave birth to a beautiful daughter who she kept locked away in a tower. She also mothered a hideous son and rebirthed the bard Taliesin.
In matters of magic and sorcery, she is a rival to Hekate. She is renowned for her vast knowledge of potions and herbs. She is equally likely to brew up a potion of infinite knowledge or madness. If she were to offer you a goblet, would you take it?
