Very dramatic pose. I think this is the best picture of the three. I shows the cocept of the costume much better than the other two pictures as I can see the owl that seems to be the them of the costume.
Great work.

wow you made that armor???
The details are amazing on this. looks so good as if it came out of final fantasy.
Do you go to conquest of mythodea as well? we might meet there.

No, not the shoulders. They were already there when I did the crown and the staff, together with a friend who made the robe.

This Year, I gonna be on the Drachenfest. Maybe Conquest will follow in 2012.

So jealous of all the great costuming I see for every European LARP. Of course with a playerbase of 3000 they must have an amazing prop budget. Also I love your speedpaint works.

The best costumes are often made by the players themselves. For this special one, we made the costume for the player, not the convention-team.
IΒ΄ve seen short time ago, a video of an american LARP. I donΒ΄t know if it is like that everywhere but if itΒ΄s so, I wish for you that thereΒ΄ll be a fast evolution.

I love the evolution the european LARP-scene did in the last ten years.

I don't really know what he's supposed to be exactly, but it doesn't matter. This cosplay is absolutely stunning!

The Drachenfest is a huge Live Roleplaying Event. More then 3000 people split up in different camps and combined with other plots, they play capture the flag.
All camps have a colour and a dragon (in the colour) they follow. As it is really hard to present only one huge dragon puppet at a event like this and they would have to bring up one per camp, they decided to take actors who play a human avatar of the Dragon. To make them look different but all the same, every Avatar has this huge shoulders.

The Grey stands for knowledge and wisdom. The crest is a book with a sword and an owl.

I hope this explains a bit better what the costume is about.

And thanks for the compliment.

Wow, that definitely helps me out. I didn't know there was such an event although it doesn't surprise me.

I wish I could go.
