Mild ADwD spoiler since we only meet Sweets there! Technically the title should have been "prostitutes and courtesans" but we know how it is with DA and longer titles. Made as a companion piece to my sellswords quartet. Yay mirroring!Pen and watercolor

You do faces really well, and they all look so kind and innocent. I always liked Satin, even though not much is known about him. It's nice that he has Jon Snow to look out for him, otherwis I don't think he'd last long in the Night's Watch.
Your version of Shae is dead on! She's supposed to look deceptively sweet and innocent, characteristics she certainly has, to an extent.

I've never liked Book!Shae and I'm glad she looks nothing like Show!Shae, but you've captured her description well, and she's pretty, but not breathtakingly gorgeous. Chataya, on the other hand *fans self* is bloody gorgeous! Seriously those eyes!
Satin and Sweets are some of my favorites of the later books. I'm really worried for both of them at the moment. You made them look so accurate and lovely! I just want to run my fingers through Satin's hair!

Kudos for Satin and Sweets; Sweets is perfect! I hope nothing bad awaits for Satin - given the last chapters at the Wall - and that Sweets has survived :fungerscrossed: But with GRRM one never knows.

Thanks! Well, the idea for the sellswords piece came from a prompt on non-noble characters from an lj community and then I expanded on that. It helps that, however minor their role might be, GRRM gives these background characters a distinctive look and personality, which makes it a pleasure to portray them

Thank you! Well, I actually think a lot of that character is already in GRRM's own writing if we are able to distance ourselves from the bias of the POV that's narrating them (and yeah, Shae is probably the most egregious example of this).

Well, I think Shae is supposed to be pretty in a girlish/pixieish sort of way? She surely was in Tyrion's eyes.
Satin actually mirrors pretty Meris as he is the only guy (well the only 100%guy) here as she was the only woman in the sellswords piece (and Sweets' hair mirrors Daario). Also my rationale for not including Alayaya was that I wanted to cover different storylines and she pretty much shares her with Chataya's, not to mention that having two out of four whore characters being women of color looked, well, a bit problematic to me.
