I killed all of my tears constantly replaying Explorers Of Sky over and over. By the time I completed Super Mystery Dungeon the End Twist almost brought them back. -.-

...kinda? If anything, they're definitely the most intense Pokemon plots. Seriously, how many ways can they come up with for the world to almost be destroyed?

I kinda finished pokemon mystery dungeon red at school 30 mins before class started. I was yelling at my game, crying and my classmate was there. I asked her why her people made such touching yet sad games. (shes Japanese.) Yeah..... Well now we are together again. My charmander, Coal and my partner, Cherry. So.... yeah.. dont fight raquaza while in school.

I'll be honest the last one didn't do it for me. Out of all three that one was kind of the weakest game.

you mean super mystery dungeon?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Fist-of-doom In reply to mimiquence [2018-03-25 20:58:14 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, Super was kind of boring to me, It just felt more railroaded than the other games. Sky was my favorite because it gave you plenty of varied missions straight out of the gate, gave you plenty of missions in between story missions and you just felt a little more attached to your partner. The post game of Super didn’t feel worth it really, while Sky’s wrapped up the story with a pretty bow and answered a few questions left over as well as questions no one thought to ask. It was just generally a more rewarding game in my opinion.

So true, I think Mystery Dungeon is slowly losing its style.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Fist-of-doom In reply to mimiquence [2018-03-26 23:47:46 +0000 UTC]

I think it’s problem is that it’s being too gimmicky. It’s sacrificing story for gameplay, they sold you on the story in previous games because they really focused on the mystery of it all and got you attached to every secondary character. Sky, Time and Darkness had that epic story of saving the world gone wrong by preventing it from ever happening, the PokΓ©mon you thought you could trust turning on you, the hunt for someone you thought was your enemy was actually your best friend, the true purpose of the games Mcguffin, the knowledge you wouldn’t just die or go away if you succeeded, you would cease to exist entirely making that finale trek to the finish line both epic and tragic because you’re racing against your own clock as well as the Doomsday clock. It was deep and epic, the story of the games after was honestly pretty shallow in comparison.

Right, GTI just wasn't as good. I mean it was a little sad, but if they made the others or something like the others, with the newer pokemon included, and in 3d, I'd buy at least 3 copies of it.

The music in Explorers of Sky was definitely capable evoking various emotions within the player (albeit most of those emotions were sadness). There is also quite the extensive collection of music in the game's jukebox feature, making it all even better! X3Β Β Β
